Potty training Chloe

Please Help!!! I am attempting once again to potty train Chloe. This time has gone better than the other times.......still not there yet though. Any suggestions? I ask/make her go and sit on the potty every 1-2 hours. But it doesn't feel like she knows when she needs to go. I just thought that this picture was priceless.

THat is one cute picture!! Potty training is hard. With Layton I told him when go on the potty and just put him in underwear, I think the pull-ups are just like diapers and so they don't learn to recognize when they have to go potty. Sometimes we had accidents and after a couple weeks of this he just caught on. Sydney caught on after her first time on the potty, so I just hink every kid is different. It is not fun though. Good Luck with it.
PS Austin is a cutie!!Love the chocolate pictures!! I think he looks more like shawn and cloe looks more like you.

Good luck with the potty-training- it can be pretty frustrating at times. Although, I'm so glad we're there- I figure we've saved $400 on diapers since Macey has been potty-trained for a year now. The best tip I got was to put her in underwear, and set a timer for 15 minutes. Every time the timer went off, we went in the bathroom and she had to sit down and try to use the potty. It was a lot less stressful then spending a day in the bathroom waiting for her to go. Like Kristen said, when I bought pull-ups I felt like they were a waste of money, since they're more expensive than diapers and she just treated them like one anyway. Oh- salty snacks are good, then they have to drink more water and go more often, potty stories are good, and a great motivator is polly pockets- earning one accessory at a time. I had a friend that just put a whole bunch of things (polly pocket, shoes, purse, etc...) on a cookie sheet, and every time her little girl used the potty she could pick one out, but every time she had an accident, she had to put one back. We've used the polly pocket idea for staying dry during the night- it sure gives Macey something to look forward to in the morning!
