New addition

We have a new addition to our family. Shawn's brother Kevin and his wife Rebecca just had a baby boy this weekend. He is so cute and happy. We are really excited for Chloe and Austin to have a cousin that lives close to us. Congrats you guys!!!

Butterfly Pavilion

Me and the kids decided we need to get out of the house. So we went to the Butterfly Pavilion. It was pretty fun. I think that my kids are a little young still for it and it would have been easier if Shawn was there or Austin would walk (nothing is ever easy). But it got us out and about. Chloe seemed to really like the butterflies, except if they got near her, then she wasn't too happy with them. And I actually held Rosie the spider, well she walked across my hand. Now I can say that I did it.

Working

I decided to go back to work for a couple of reasons. 1) I want a house more than you could imagine 2) To maintain my license 3) To have adult interaction. So Shawn and I got it figured out with our schedules that when I am working he is home with the kids and if he is working I am at home. Which makes me feel alot better about it. Daycare just scares me, that I am not there with my kids and protecting them. Also, it is so expensive. That just amazed me. Since my kids are still really young, it would cost us like $500/week to have them both in daycare. A little steep if you ask me. I am working for a nursing agency. So if a hospital is short, they call a agency to get a fill-in nurse. So I can do my schedule however I want. But the only problem is, that I am not IV certified. In Utah, where I went to nursing school, you couldn't so much as look at a IV. That was the RNs job. Then we moved up to Oregon, and my job there just threw me a IV bag and said "go hang this." Pretty scary, but I did alot of IV stuff in Oregon, so I am pretty comfortable with them. Here in Colorado, you have to be certified. Especially if you want to work in the hospital. So I took the class and passed. YEAH!!!! In the meantime, while my license is getting updated, the only places for LPNs to work is nursing homes and the dept of corrections. My agency wanted me to try to jail, just for kicks and giggles. They said that most of the nurses they send there love it. So I said, "I'll try it." It isn't too bad. I have seen alot of interesting things. Still I'll be glad when the IV stuff is done and I can work in the hospital. Chloe loves to play with my stethoscope and other stuff I take to work. She is "doctor" and she has her pretend doctor sticker on. (mickey mouse clubhouse~one of the episodes daisy is trying to get her pretend doctor sticker, so she sees all her friends and tries to cure their illnesses)

Belated Easter

I am still so bad at this blogging thing. I finally downloaded all my pictures onto the computer and have a chance to do it. So here is our life for the last little bit. Easter was a ton of fun. The kids had a blast. Only problem was that instead of hard-boiled eggs, we had soft. Apparently we didn't cook them long enough. Oops. And of course, Austin had to break a couple dyeing them, and then sat on one on Easter morning. Chloe is getting old enough to understand a little bit about what is going on. That was fun to see. She was super excited, especially for her candy!!
