The reason for my lack of blogging.

Here is the reason for my lack of blogging. I am currently a college student again. And I actually got A's in both of my classes this summer. Woot! Now just 2 weeks of a break and then back for more. With any luck I will be in the nursing program LPN to ADN (RN) next spring. Keeping my fingers crossed.

4th of July

We were so sad that we couldn't make it back to Wyoming to pop "real" fireworks. But when you get that sick, you don't want anyone else to get it as well. Oh well, maybe next year. But the kids still wanted to wear their new outfits.

Chloe is quite the little artist. If any of you have seen the cartoon Micky Mouse Clubhouse, she drew quite the likeness. (5/22/09)

Chloe had a Dr. appointment today. So each of the kids got a sticker at the end of the appointment. Austin put his on his head and said, "I doctor Austin".

UW Graduation 2009

What a day. I got up at 4am to try and get everything ready, so we could leave by 6am. I am not a morning person, but we made it. Chris' graduation was at 9am and Brie's was at 1:30pm. Long day, kids only lasted til Brie's graduation and then they had had enough. So Shawn's took them outside and let me enjoy my siblings accomplishments. This little video was during Chris' graduation. Brie had given Austin some gum. He of course had swallowed it. And he wanted some more. I told him he couldn't have anymore until Uncle Chris came out. So he started to call for Uncle Chris so he could get his gum.

We are so excited that our yard is done and we are able to enjoy it now. Especially to let the kids run around out there without the worry of them stepping on something (dog poop, needles-after living in apartments for as long as we did nothing would surprise us, yucky weeds). Austin's Bed

I was trying to figure out how I wanted to decorate Austin's room and I found this cute bedding set. So I pulled it out to see if there was any stains or anything I needed to fix on it. Austin decided that it was his new bed (we haven't bought him a big boy bed yet). So every naptime and bedtime we have a fight of if he can sleep in his "bed" or in his crib. Too cute! (4/8/2009)

Church

I went to church a couple weeks ago and a member of the bishopric (?) came and asked me if he could talk to me for a bit. Ah dang. Please no talk. It wasn't a talk. I got called to be 2nd counselor in the YW. Gasp! I haven't had a calling it forever, and they finally caught me. It was funny because my friend Lacey got called in by the bishopric also. So she ask what they did to me. So I told her. She just laughed at me and said she only got to be on the Enrichment committee. It should be a good thing (I hope). I only have 1 active Beehive. And there is only about 8 girls total that come to YW. But the others in the presidency are awesome, so here we go.

It actually was warm on the day that I took this. So Chloe got to wear her new outfit. I thought that I could get away with doing her hair this way. As you can tell, Chloe had other ideas. She said she didn't like it, because she isn't Minnie Mouse today and so she doesn't need ears. SIGH

Bird, there was glass there

Shawn and I were walking down the stairs and just happened to look up at the glass just right and saw this imprint of a bird on our window. I had been home all day and didn't hear a thing. So I went outside to see if the bird was laying on the ground. No bird. Hopefully it just got knocked silly and is ok now. But you can see it was a good sized bird to hit it.

My baby is 2 years old! Wow, how time flies. Austin is just such a joy to our lives. I couldn't imagine him not with us.
Things about Austin
*His vocabulary is amazing, I don't remember Chloe talking this soon or as many words as Austin is now. There are only a few times when I have to ask him to say that again
*He loves his shows~ Handy Manny can fix anything that needs fixing, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse he just adores and he knows all the characters names, My Friends Tigger and Pooh he will run up and tell me who is on and what they are doing, Movies~ Kung Fu Panda, he will run up to me and yell Pu Panda Pu Panda and start kicking. Finding Nemo, anytime there is a fish anywhere he will yell NEMO!
*He loves to kick balls and play soccer
*Austin is still my velcro baby and loves to snuggle with mommy
*He loves to play/fight with his older sister, hopefully soon they will just love each other and survive childhood

New Computer

Our last computer died (mournful music) and our laptop is headed that way as well. So we decided that we would build two computers instead of one. So when the laptop dies we wouldn't have to go through all the research and trouble of buying another computer. It is crazy how much time you have to put into building a couputer. You have to research if this case will have enough room for everything, then will the motherboard support this and on and on and on. Anyways, we ordered all the parts and when it was dropped off at my house, the UPS/FedEx (don't remember which) just rang the doorbell and left. They had just left all the computer parts on our porch. Boxes clearly labeled Newegg. I was soo mad, because anyone could have come and took the boxes without us knowing it if I hadn't been home. Sigh. Anyways this is the finshed product. AND I BUILT IT!!! I was really surprised and shocked that it works, but it does :)

Happy Birthday Mandy!!!

Hey Mandy~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! You are my best friend. Mandy Webb is one of my best friends. We met about 8 years ago in Provo, when we were all going to school there. We were neighbors and it was such a wonderful experience to have a friend right next door. I remember just walking over there and watching tv with her or if she was having a hard time with Alex, Mandy would come over and say she was selling her daughter for a dollar. :) Miss you tons and I hope that this is a wonderful day for you.

Well I figured out that my son is taller than I assumed that he was and he will figure out any way to get candy/chocolate. Thanks Grandma for the valentines day candy, the kids loved it.
